Tag: How much my face costs, what's in my makeup bag and quick NOTD!

Hello everyone,
I had seen a few people doing these tags, and I thought it would be really interesting (but kind of scary) to see how much my 'everyday face of makeup' cost me!
This is what I generally wear when I'm going to school or if I'm not doing anything much at the weekend (if I'm in a rush I don't always bother with the the primer/eyeshaddow/

Primer: Elf mineral infused face primer £6.00

Foundation: Revlon photo ready £12.99

Powder: No7 creme touch £9.00

Concealer: Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer £3.69 and Benefit erase paste £19.50

Mascara: Maybelline Define-a-lash mascara £8.19

Eyeliner: L'oreal superliner luminizer eyeliner £6.49 and The Body Shop eye definer in brown £8.00

Brow Pencil: No7 beautiful brow pencil £8.00

Eyeshadow primer: Benefit lemon aid £16.50

Eyeshadow: No7 Stay perfect eyeshadow in Wheatsheaf and Mink £8.00 each- £16.00 and MUA heaven and earth pallette £4.00

Highlighter: Barbara Daly glow up highligher £7.50

Blush: The Balm frat boy blush £13

Lipgloss: Benefit ultra shine lip gloss £14.00 or MUA lipstick (I use different colours each day but mostly shade 14 or shade 10) £1 each

Total= £154.86!!!

Wow, I am actually shocked at this! I never, ever thought it would be over £100! This is actually quite embarassing and I don't even have any high end products here (unless Benefit counts?) I am officially back onto my 'makeup spending ban' now! I have so much makeup that needs using up before I go and buy any more!

This is what I take with me to school in my school bag everyday aswell- incase you were interested!

And this is what makeup bag I use. I got it around two years ago- I have used it literally every single day and it hasn't broken! I love Cath Kidston accessories and they have never let me down!

And finally this fine glitter that I ordered off eBay a couple of weeks ago came today! I have tried it out on my little finger and it looks so cute!

Thankyou for reading this and have a lovely day

Outfit of the day!

Hello everyone,
first of all I'm so sorry about the massive lack of posts recently! The only excuse that I have is that I have three science GCSE's at the end of January, which I am busy 'revising' for. I have also had other assessments and ongoing tests at school as well and they all seem to be taking up all of my free time! Anyway I was going to the cinema earlier today, to see War Horse, and so I thought I would do a quick outfit of the day to show you what I was wearing!

Shirt: Primark (last summer)
Vest: TopShop
Leggings: Primark

Bracelet: New Look

Ring: Love Hearts and Crosses

Nails: I forgot to take a photo so I got my image from here but it is Barry M 'Raspberry'

Hair: I decided to leave it natural, but I decided to ass a hair feather, which I got the other day from eBay. They are synthetic ones but they were only around £2 and they came with everything you need to put them in, and were in around 10 colours!

I decided to keep my makeup really simple, but my lipstick is MUA shade 7

Versatile Blogger Awards!

Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if you have heard of the Versatile blogger awards before or not, but it is just basically a way for other bloggers to nominate their 15 favourite blogs/bloggers for the award.

First off- thankyou so much to Celeste- http://celestecohen.blogspot.com/ for nominating me! She is so lovely, I would really recommend having a quick look at her blog if you haven't already! Oh and her twitter name is @CelesteCohen

Here are the rules for this award which I got off of the VBA blog

Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.

  • Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.

  • Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.

  • Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.

  • Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

What I got for Christmas 2011!

    Hello everyone,
First off, happy 2012 everyone! I really didn't have an eventful night last night, me and my sister were both ill so we stayed in and watched telly whilst our parents went. We were both actually in bed when it was midnight, but all of the fireworks started going off, and then just as I though it was all over- 26 minutes late my neighbour starting letting off theirs. Not cool.
We did light a Chinese lantern though, which was very scary as our parents were out and so I was the 'responible adult' luckily everything was fine, although I was convinced it was going to fly into our neighbours tree!

I was unsure whether to do this post or not because I really didn't want to come across as bragging but I got several emails and a couple of tweets requesting that I did it so here it is. Of course I am not trying to show off or brag about what I was given, and I know that to some people this will seem like a lot of stuff, and to others it will seem like hardly anything, but I know every family likes to do Christmas differently and some go all out with the presents, and others prefer to give less things, but they will probably mean more to the person receiving them. I am extremely grateful for everything that I received and thankful to all of my friends and family for getting it all for me.
Anyway, enough of all of that, I'm going to get into the presents! I'm not going to say who they are all from, simply because you will have absolutely no idea who they are!

Here is just an overview of most of the things that I got. This isn't all of it because I kept on remembering other things afterwards, but none of them were that exciting. I also got some lush things, but they were in the bathroom and I had already used some of them :) I also got quite a few vouchers aswell for Hollister, Fat Face, Boots, Topshop and WHSmiths and money from other people too.

I got... a gilet, a Soap and Glory 'Big Splendour' set, a dressing gown, pyjamas, Britney Spears 'midnight fantasy' perfume, a Rihanna ticket, Jack Wills highlighter, electric whisk, mug, Jack Wills folders, purse, Jack Wills paperclip, Cath Kidston mini notes, nail varnish pens and two adorable stuffed things that my little sister made :) as I said above, I also got money and vouchers, but I have already spent most of them in the sales! I think I will be doing a post on that soon aswell!

Firstly, this was probably one of my favourite presents.

I have already mentioned it on here before, but it was a ticket to go and see Rihanna. One of my best friend's parents had organised it and they has asked if I wanted to go aswell, so they organised it all in secret without us knowing, and we had no idea until we were almost there in the car!

Secondly I got this Britney Spears 'Midnight Fantasy' perfume. I had wanted this for ageeees, and although I'm not a massive Britney fan I absolutely love the sweetness that it has to it and I reall like the bottle awell!

My sister made these for me out of a pair of socks. I think that they are so funny and adorable, and they go really well with my room! She made ones for most  of my family aswell out of gloves and socks, I would put in a picture but I never got one of them all!

Next is the hand mixer, which I forgot to take a photo of, so I will put a picture of it off of the internet instead. I have actually been wanting one of these for such a long time! You may think it's weird that I would want one, but I am actually really into baking and it is one of my favourite things to do! I just never got around to getting one of them, so now I finally got one and I can't wait to get baking to use it!
Next is the Soap and Glory 'Big Splendour' gift set. I am so glad that I got it because it was such a great bargain for 10 full sized products from one of my favourite skincare brands! I haven't tried out everything yet because there is actually so much but I can't wait to use them all! It was meant to be £60 but for the week before Christmas Boots reduced it to £25! Yes only £25 for 10 full sized products!

And the final thing that I am going to talk in detail about is this MAC blush. I love all of the MAC things, but I hardly have any of them! I really want to buy some things from there sometime soon, and I have my eye on quite a few things that I want! I think I am going to London in February, so hopefully I will be able to pick up a couple of things then! Let me know in the comments what your favourite MAC products are because although I have been looking up reviews there are so many products and colours to choose from! Anyway onto the blush, it is a gel blush, in the colour 'Just a pinch' It looks really scary at first, but I like to apply it with a stippling brush, and it give a really nice, natural glow to my cheeks and it doesn't come out bright red as it may look!

Sorry it looks weird, but that's just because I used a stippling brush to apply it with!

Oh and do you like my nails? I think they look really cute!

I hope you enjoyed reading this! I am really nosey and I love to see what everyone else got for Christmas, so if you have done a blog post/YouTube video please leave the link in the comment box and I will read/watch it! Oh and let me know if you want me to do a boxing day haul for you aswell! I am also thinking of doing a post on my 'Best products of 2011' so look out for that coming soon!

Oh finally, one last thing I am doing the 'Day zero project' (101 things in 1001 days) and that is starting today, so check it out- I have put it into the navigation bar at the top of the page!

Thankyou for reading this and have a lovely day
