AUTUMNAL MAKEUP

Autumn has finally come around, which of course means it is now time to crack out those oh so pretty deep berry and burgundy colours which are my absolute favourite. I decided to do this makeup after reading Anna's 'Autumn Edit' blog post, where I was inspired by the combination of a dark coppery eyeshadow and red lip that she used. For my look I used a Too Faced eyeshadow called 'Soleil' and for my lips I used my favourite lipstick which is Chanel 'La Désiéee'. The eyeshadow is so easy as I only used one colour and blended it out, but I think it is a nice combination with the bright red lipstick. I kept most of the makeup very simple as I already had two bright colours, but I think they compliment my dark hair nicely!

I will definitely be wearing this look a lot more often from now on and throughout the winter, despite the eyeshadow being quite different for me as I love how it has turned out!

What is your 'go-to' autumnal makeup look?

ASOS #BEAUTYCHAT EVENT

Last week I popped up to the ASOS HQ again to go to their #BeautyChat event. It was a live streamed Q&A session with Patricia Bright answering all sorts of beauty questions from the audience and from  her subscribers on twitter. ASOS aren't ones to do it half heartedly, so we had summery pimms, hotdogs and nail painting - along with having some items from their new collection on display, and plenty of yummy #BeautyChat themed cookies on sticks! I went along with Perdi and met up with Brogan and Emma whilst I was there, and went for pizza afterwards. Somehow the trains were completely delayed on the way home - which ended up in me getting on a random train and bus combination, sitting outside a train station in the freezing cold for an hour at 1am and not getting home until after 2am - fun fun fun! Despite this I had a lovely time, thank you ASOS for inviting me!

You can watch a recording of the live stream below, and check out my photos of the event too!

AUTUMNAL WALK

This evening I went on an autumnal photo taking walk with my mum whilst the light was golden, and I thought I would share with you some of the photos that I took. As per usual, I used my Canon 600D with the 100mm Macro lens for all of these photos, which I am still completely in love with. I love going on specific photo taking walks, especially as I haven't used my camera all that much over the past month or so -  you always seem to spot things which you normally wouldn't if you were just walking past!

THE CLASSIC COSY OUTFIT

Jumper - Jaeger / Jeans - Topshop / Loafers - Russell and Bromley /
Lipstick - Tom Ford 'Cherry Lush' / Nails - Nails Inc 'Porchester Square'

I wore this outfit yesterday while I was doing some so my internship work and running a few errands in town. The jumper is very comfortable, and as it is made from merino wool it is super soft! Despite being dressed for winter, it did actually get very sunny so I had to pop on my Ray-Ban 'Erika' sunglasses before I went out as the sun seemed to appear from nowhere! I have been wearing my Russell and Bromley 'Chester' loafers non stop recently, they just go with pretty much every outfit and I find them to be very comfortable. I have got quite a big collection of brogues and loafers so I may do a blog post on them soon if that is something you may find interesting!

I have been loving having shorter hair, it has been so much more manageable and it's fun being able to do some different styles with it than what I used to do with my long hair - if you are debating going for the chop, as lots of people have been saying to me that they are, then I'd say definitely go for it!

HAIRCUT

I decided I was bored with my super long (belly button length) hair and decided to finally go for the chop, which I had been putting off for way too long. I went for something quite a lot shorter than what I had previously as I was sick of my hair getting in the way all the time and feeling pretty knotty and unmanageable so this is what I decided on! I'm really happy with the overall look of it, it feels so much healthier and it has a much nicer shape to it than it did before. On the other hand, my new fringe pieces are proving to be very annoying - does anyone have any suggestions on what texturising type products I can use to keep them out of my face?

Please let me know if you have any product suggestions!

EASY PIÑA COLADA RECIPE

A Piña Colada is a sweet, fruity, summery cocktail which is surprisingly easy to make yourself at home and is perfect for a summers day!

To make easy homemade Piña Coladas you will need:
30ml Coconut cream (if you can't find it then you can use coconut milk, however coconut cream is better as it has a thicker consistency)
90ml Pineapple juice
30ml Malibu

[serves one]

Simply combine all of the ingredients together, shake, and then pour into your glass over ice to make the perfect Piña Colada. It looks perfect finished off with a fresh pineapple slice on the side of the glass and is the perfect summery tropical drink! As this recipe serves one, simply multiply the measurements by the number of people you're making it for to make the perfect amount. If you'd prefer to have it without the alcohol, simply skip adding the Malibu and you will have a virgin Piña Colada.

I was sent the Malibu alcohol, however this blog post
is not sponsored and all words and images are my own
