I got a world to see

dress: lashes of london 'fizzer' dress*
shoes: tReds
sunglasses: primark
lipstick: 'coral tonic' by maybelline

OMG HOW PRETTY IS THIS DRESS?! I think I let out a squeal of excitement when I opened the package it's just so nice and summery! This is my second thing from Lashes Of London, the first is a super summery playsuit which I'll be posting about soon. You can use the code 'BLOG25' for 25% your order at Lashes by the way!
The weather was so nice and I've just finished my exams so I thought I would take some outfit photos, I  like how they turned out except for in the first ones you can't really see the detailing on the dress. I like the cut out bit on the back of the dress too, it's really cute and makes it more unique!
I just need to dye my hair bright red then I would feel like Megan, she's always wearing cute dresses like this with her amazing red curly hair!
Also what do you think about the sunglasses, I tried them on in the shop as a joke but then decided I actually quite liked them… are they cool or do I just look like an idiot in them? Let me know

Don't forget to check out Lashes of London!

blublocker sunglasses

sunglasses: blublocker*

I was sent these sunglasses the other day by Jonny at presink.com, they're a cool aviator shape with thick rims and legs. The shape of them really doesn't suit my face shape unfortunately otherwise I'd of taken photos with my face in instead of just photos of the glasses! The lens on them is so cool though as it's orange and when you wear them it's like you've stepped into instagram as it's like everything has a filter on! They're designed to block 100% of UV and blue light letting you see with more clarity and protection from the sun. I thought this was a bit of a gimmick but if I'm honest they really do make everything seem very clear and crisp when you wear them, I made my family try them out and they all agreed too!

Blublockers retail for £35 and are available online here

although these sunglasses were sent for me to feature on islaay.com this does not influence my opinion on them and it is 100% honest as always

china print nails using the rio professional nail artist collection

I said in my review of the Rio Ultimate nail artist collection* that I would do a step by step tutorial of these nails so here it is! The base colour is 'awol' by topshop which is one of my favourites, it's such a lovely bright blue!

1. Paint your nails with the base colour, any would work as long as it's a contrast to white- something bright or pastel would be my top picks
2. Using the adhesive in the Rio nail art collection set paint a thin layer on one of your nails and leave it to dry for around 10 minutes
3. Cut a piece of lace nail art foil to the size of your nail
4. Place it over the top of your nail
5. Rub the foil so it transfers making sure you go all the way to the edges
6. Using striping tape place strips of it down your nail making sure they're as straight as you can get them
7. Paint over the tape in white and while the polish is still wet put the tape off to leave the blue stripes below. This may end up not being perfect and you might need to touch it up with a white striper when it's dried which is what I had to do
8. Paint a thin layer of clear polish over the nail
9. using a cocktail stick and hexagonal glitter pieces place them onto the nail in whatever pattern you want
10. As you can see I chose to fill the whole nail in with glitter pieces but you may want to just do round the edge or a strip with a few rows down the centre of the nail
11. Using a dotting tool and white polish do polkadots over the nail
12. Using the striping tape again create a V shape at the centre of the nail- this will make the lines a lot neater than it would be if you did it freehand
13. Paint white on one side of the tape and then peel the tape off

finish with a top coat (I used seche vite) and you're done, I absolutely love how these turned out and I can't tell you how many compliments I had on them! I'm really loving the Rio kit so will probably be doing more tutorials like this with it soon!

Do you like this type of post with the step by step instructions and what do you think of these nails, please let me know!

if diane young won't change your mind

dress: c/o shelikes.com
watch: river island
shoes: clarks
necklace: eBay
lipstick: maybeline 'coral tonic'
above knuckle ring: dixi

omg I've actually done something with my hair for once instead of leaving it to be a frizzy mess- WHOA (thanks to my friend megan for curling it for me!). I was sent this dress by she likes, it's similar to this topshop one I bought and wore to death over the winter except it has the pleather sleeves which I think makes it more unique and interesting! Oh and the best part- it's only £15, yay! After seeing it on the shelikes website I was worried it might be bad quality material and really see through but it's not at all, phew!
I'm wearing my new eBay necklace, I just can't get enough of chunky gold jewelery, it's the best!

Don't forget to check out She Likes!

what keeps the planets spinning

top: american apparel
shorts: vintage Levi
nacklace: topshop
lipstick: 'big bang' by rimmel
shoes: clarks
nails: using the Rio professional nail art collection

it's no secret that I love watermelons. They're just so cute and when I saw this watermelon cami top in American Apparel I knew I just had to have it as it had my name  watermelons all over it. I've been loving having my hair in a fish tail plait recently and I've had lots of requests to do a tutorial on it so I will be doing that soon!
I also did a 60 second OOTD video for my youtube channel which you can watch below!
